Quick question,
I have recently passed the NCLEX, I now hold my Ca license, and want to apply for my NY license. I was educated in Australia but am an American Citizen. Does anybody know if I will still have to go through the CGFNS process with NY state as this was not needed in Ca.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. So confusing from state to state!
Thanks

Here's from this page on NY's board website that talks about verifying your CA license (kinda like endorsement).
But they also said of you were educated outside of USA, you have to go through the CGFNS process. See this link from their boards: NYS Nursing:Application Forms RN & LPN
Maybe just call them to verify? I'm not sure.

Yes you still have to go through CVS when trained outside the US regardless if a USC or not when endorsing a license

Hi Sarah, I’m just wondering did you take any extra classes in the US for gain California license? Because I heard Australia nurses some deficiency obs/paeds. Look forward hearing from you. Thank you.
