Hello everyone, im an RN in the Philippines and i applied for nclex-rn here in texas. today the texas bon sent me a letter saying i need to take a refresher course after passing the nclex exam. anyone know where can i take the course here in houston? im stressing out with this whole process and the exam and now they sent me this letter sigh. And if anyone with the same situation as me (esp. here in houston!) can you please private message me and we can share information about the process! Can u tell me about the fens?because I'm from the Philippines too I just passed my nclex last feb.8,2016 they send me a letter stating I need to do the refresher course,where did u get urs?did u wait for the official result or just started the refresher course without the official result?

Hello have you found out anything about refresher course? I just passed the test on june 6th haven't gotten any letter yet from the Texas BON, but I am assuming that I need to do the FENS since I graduated year 2007 and just have 6 months of experience! I would really appreciate all the info I can get. Thank you!

I'm done with my fens check the phesonline.com...I did 10 days school and 10 days clinical

How much was the FENS? I'm also applying for Texas. I graduated 2006 and got my license the same year and i don't have any experience at all. Just want to know ahead how much it costs? Thanks :)

It's $2200 for the fens but I think it depends to the school that ur going...but mine it's $2200...it's 10 days school and 10 days clinical at the hospital

Hi there, how are you?? I am from Houston, Texas (LPR /green card holder) however I am planning on going back to Philippines to study(finish) my nursing education. I left some years back to work and help with my family's finances but now I am ready to go back and pursue what should have been done years ago. I am coming back as a 3rd year irregular student so with that, I am looking at about 2-3 years timeline to graduate and obtain my BSN. I do really need some helpful insights as far as coming back to Texas and finding jobs in the near future once I graduate. I am also planning on taking the NCLEX exam in the Phils instead, since from what I heard from some filipino nurses here it is easier to come back already licensed. hello there. I am in the same situation like you posted. Am in Houston looking for where to do refresher course/ clinical hours. Please how did you get the refresher course. Thanks

Hi everyone, I am a foreign nurse, I live in Houston Texas. I was asked by the Texas board of nursing to submit proof of 80 clinical hours in psychiatrics nursing before I will be eligible to take NCLEX RN. please anyone knows where I can take refresher course or a preceptor who can help me for my clinical hours?. I will really appreciate your help, thanks.

Hi Ladi,

If I am not mistaken, if you graduate from the philippines, your psych clinicals should have 80 hrs. Check your Transcript. Did you have your transcript verified by cgfns?
