  1. Hi Ladi, If I am not mistaken, if you graduate from the philippines, your psych clinicals should have 80 hrs. Check your Transcript. Did you have your transcript verified by cgfns?
  2. Thank you very much!!! Very Helpful!!
  3. Hi! I know this is an old post but I would really appreciate if you email me the email that you sent to the DON's, I too is having a hard time looking for job and I am a foreign grad so writing is not my forte.
  4. Hi retired_prtygirl, just like you I have to take FENS, will you share your experience to us about Bracey's ( like how much it cost, how is the course done? Online or classroom, do you find your own preceptor or the Bracey's do it all for you? ) thank you really appreciate any feedback!
  5. Was it beneficial? Or do you think an extensive course would be better? Thanks
  6. The first thing that you need to do is believe in yourself, I too have failed so many times but finally passed. I've done most of the reviews prior to passing. What I did this time was, I used NCSBN really great with content. Kaplan and Uwordl Qbank and Hurst Review. I used Kaplan and uworld to practice test taking strategies. During the test, I reworded every question, once reworded I ask the reworded question to each choices, if it doesn't answer the question I eliminate it, once its eliminated don't go back to that option EVER!!! Don't forget to memorize your Lab Values, ECG's, ABG's, HgbA1c, BUN, Creatinine etc. Goodluck on your test! You can do it!!
  7. Thank you!! I will check them out!!!
  8. Hi fellow nurses! I am writing to share my journey on becoming a US RN. I graduated year 2007 in the Philippines and had only 6 months experience after that I got married. I first took nclex year 2010 and failed. I took it again on year 2011, 2012 (twice) 2015 and Feb 2016 and failed that one, after all that I told myself the seventh time will be my last take (took that test last June 6th) and I will just give this up I really didn't care anymore if I failed, however I also told myself since this is going to be my last I might as well do my best so I won't have regrets. It was very hard because I have 2 kids, a toddler and a 9 month old, I studied for 4-5 hrs a day, I start at 1am in the morning, go to work at 6am come home at 1pm and be a mother and wife til they go to bed at 7pm, then I have to clean up all the mess and dont actually get to rest til atleast 9pm, I was like this for 2 months!! I thought I was going to loss my mind!! But I was determined this time! I started changing the way I study, by the way the last 5 times I took it, I used the same method (which is I know is dumb) but I just thought I need more content. This time, what I did different was, I signed up for Uworld, Kaplan qbank and NCSBN for the content. I did questions everyday, I'll generate 75 questions but I finish the questions in 2 days because I was reading the rationales over and over. I also did Kaplan qbank. On both websites I was averanging 50's to 60's. 2 days before my test I listened to Hurst Review, the night before my test I was memorizing all the Lab Values, ECG's, ABG's etc. Before I went to the testing center I had a good breakfast and said a little prayer!! as soon as they had me seated and finished the tutorial, I wrote down all the normal labs and ecg's etc that I memorized the night before the test on the erasable board that they gave me. I have a tendency to completely forget something when I am panicking, which happened alot during the last 6 times I took it. So this time I tried to be calm as possible. I took the entire test 265!! 265 y'all haha for 5 hours! I only took two 5 min breaks. My last question was a SATA so I had a good feeling that I passed since I believed that SATA is a higher level question and according to Kaplan, if you finish the entire test and your last question was a higher level question, you will pass. And I finally did!! Until now I still keep on checking my quick result to make sure it still says pass 😀 So for nurses out there please do not give up! If I made it, you will too!!! Promise!!! Also, don't forget tl pray!!! Oh and goodluck!!! Hope this helped!!!
  9. Hello have you found out anything about refresher course? I just passed the test on june 6th haven't gotten any letter yet from the Texas BON, but I am assuming that I need to do the FENS since I graduated year 2007 and just have 6 months of experience!
