Hi Nurses!

I have a question regarding the licensure in the state of Illinois for Foreign Educated Nurses (But I know some states have similar requirements). Basically they give us 3 options for the proof of education equivalency (see at the end of this post), my question is which one (in your experience) takes less time to have. The price is not really a problem (I know prices vary), I just want to try to ''accelerate'' the process as much as I can. Thank you so much!!!!

P.S. IF ONE OF THE OPTIONS YOU CHOOSE IS THE CES REPORT, THEY OFFER TWO AGENCIES: Which one is better? CGFNS or ERES?

PROOF OF EDUCATION EQUIVALENCY IN THE FORM OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED:

Credential Evaluation Service Report and Proof of Passage of either TOEFL or IELTS; OR,

VisaScreen Certificate (original), OR,

CGFNS Certificate (original)

CES Report

The CES "Credential Evaluation Service" Healthcare Profession & Science Course by Course Report must be obtained through one of the following credentialing service vendors:

Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) (Request a Nursing and Science, Course by Course report. Request the "Full Education" report only if you think you will be attending graduate school in the United States some time in the future.)

Education Records Evaluation Service, Inc.

(Request a Nursing Evaluation and Course by Course report.)

THE DEPARTMENT WILL DOWNLOAD THE CES REPORT FROM THE RESPECTIVE AGENCY WEBSITE.
