Foreign Educated (Indian GNM Diploma) Nurse - requisite to work in Canada

i am a registered nurse in india i have done general nursing and midwifery 3 years fulltime diploma course, and i have 5 years plus experience. recently i have also given academic ielts exam and scored overall 6.0 band (listening 6, reading 5.5, writing 5.5, speaking 6). i want to migrate to canada with my husband and son. i am planning to apply under "federal skilled worker immigration" i have following queries. i would be grateful if you could provide me answers for these questions or suggest me any other way to work in canada as nurse. thanks allot.
1)what are the steps i will need to perform to migrate to canada? meet province requirements (usually skilled worker) this usually means meeting the province college of nursing requirements, english exams and eligibility to sit crne
2)my ielts 6.0 bands will be considered for language skills points or i should give ielts exam again? i do not think 6 will meet requirements, although i can't see anything on cno website all others seems to be after 6.5 or higher
3)is nclex and canadian registered nurse examination (crne) is compulsory to work in canada as nurse? only crne is compulsory for canada. nclex is for the usa
4)can i give crne exam online from india? only available in canada 3 times a year
5)my relatives are in canada if they arrange a regular nurse job (not under arranged employment); will it help for the immigration process.ywhih ever route you decide on you need a employer and a lmo
6)when i have calculated my points for immigration it comes to 65 - 67. so to secure the process, can i apply under "arranged employment" or "provincial nomination program"? as long as you meet pnp requirements then you can apply
7)where can i find a job listing for "provincial nomination program" category? i searched many sites but didn't found anything specifically; nurses requirement under provincial nomination program. cic has all information required regarding working and immigrating to canada suggest a good read in that forumhttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/index.asp

Hello

I feel you are eligible to apply for immigration now.You need 67 points.But remember one thing .You are not submitting documents proving your qualifications when you first apply.You get 2-3 months time to submit your documents.In this period you try to get a better score in IELTS.I did so .I also had the same score as mentioned in your letter.But I improved later,after I submitted my application.You need speeking 7 and 6.5 overall to write CRNE( Depends on the state you prefer).You do a search in google .You get either the official website or private immigration services.Take care when you fill the forms .Better if you ask the help of some professionals. If you want to migrate to Canada you do not wait.Only limited time .Now door is open .It does not mean that it will be open always!So make it very fast!

If someone applied under Federal Skilled Worker Migration, do they need an employer? Or enough money will do? I am planning to move in Canada with my fiance' but still analyzing each angle. I already have passing score in IELTS and have a minimum required experience as a Nurse, although, I haven't submitted my application in Nursing Registering authority.

I feel very confused about the complete process of Canada immigration visa for "Federal Skilled Worker - Arranged Employment". How a nurse can migrate & reach Canada in 8 to 9 months with the benefit of "Arranged Employment" or "Provincial Nomination Program". Because according to this rules a IEN candidate is not eligible without CRNE exam, so how he/she can apply for the nurse job (indirectly employee cannot recruit such a candidate).

After some search what I learned is; If a nurse wants to apply under "Provincial Nomination Program" (PNP) category then for most of the province requirement for PNP is candidate should have passed CRNE exam. CRNE exam is only available in CANADA three times a year. So does it means candidate should complete following steps?

1. Prepare for the CRNE exam in candidate's own country;

2. Apply to the nursing regulatory body in that province or territory for a permit to practice nursing in the province.

3. Apply for visa to work temporarily to meet province

4. If province gives permission to write the exam, after which candidate can apply for full licensure in that province.

5. Appear and pass the CRNE Exam.

I think all this process will need at least 1 year.

Then

6. Apply for Canada immigration visa for "Federal Skilled Worker - Arranged Employment" which require almost 6 month.

I would be very thankful if you can guide me for this issue.

You start to decide where you want to live and work (which province).

You apply to their regulating body for educational assessment.

Wait for their answer.

If you are eligible to write CRNE look for an employer.

You can either start the immigration process then allready (without an employer), but it's easier and faster if you have one.

In case you found an employer apply for temp work permit and/or permanent residency, depending on the job offer. If job offer is temporary for instance depending on you passing CRNE or other thing go the temp permit route.

You can apply for permanent residency later in Canada.

The provincial nominee route might be possible also, depending on the province.

Whole proccess takes about one year, depends on province, if your papers are complete and in order and if you need additional assessment. Can be a bit faster (RGN1 did it in 8 months) or slower.

Verify everything on cic website, uptodate info is there.

crne pass certificate is not must when you apply for your immigration .arranged employment also is not must. you need just 67 points.but you should improve your ielts because you are not eligible to apply to write crne if you have no 7 in speaking.to become a registered nurse in canada you have to go through all the steps you have mentioned in your letter.you have to submit your application, to assess your qualifications ,in the nursing board of one of the provinces that you prefer. this is the first step and it will take some months time.the entire process is lengthy as you said .but if you have confidence you can complete the immigration process in parallel.
