Here is something I read that I thought was funny;
A motorcycle cop was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix. From the ER he was transferred to the OR and an appendectomy was performed. The surgery went well, however the patient kept feeling a tightness on the surface of his chest. Worried & very concerned he finally pulled his gown over enough to see what was the problem. Three wide strips of adhesive tape were firmly affixed across his hairy chest.
On the tape read; "Get well soon but think twice before you give a nurse a speeding ticket."

... my Vette comes in handy when on call to the OR :chuckle

I have known many nurses to get out of speeding tickets for this very reason, lmao.
Well, on a sad note... my son was on call [OR Tech at Shannon Medical Center] and exceeded the posted speed limit in his attempt to get to the OR. He was pulled over by one of San Angelo's LEOs, then taken to jail! He told the officer he was trying to get to the OR d/t called in for an emergency surgical procedure. The cop let him call the OR to tell them he would be able to come in to work. :angryfire

I just sent off my cashier's check to pay my $169 criminal speeding violation.
Caught speeding makes you a criminal? Get yourself a radar detector.
BTW, why not take defensive driving course? Were you going over 25 miles above the posted speed limit?
I was going 92 in a 75. In AZ, 15 mph over the speed limit is criminal. Ranger Roy threatened to arrest me. And that particular violation is not eligible for a defensive driving course. I checked.
Yikes! ... that sux!
I'll have to remember this the next time I'm driving in AZ.

Hehe funny thread idea. I'm just finally getting to the 3-year mark for the last of my speeding tickets, but if I ever get caught again, I'll have to find some nursing analogy j/k, sorta
