Hi everyone! I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX on March 4th and have been studing with Kaplan. All of my scores on the test (from diagnostic, readiness, Q trainers and Q bank have ranged from 57 - 59% with the exception of a 48 on QT 1. I have managed to get a couple of 60% and one 70% on the Q bank 50 question test. I realize that these are not the best of scores but they are not the worst either. My question is, for those of you that took Kaplan what were your score ranges on all the exams, and when you went to take the NCLEX what were your results. Did you pass with below 60% scores and how many questions did you anwser before it shut off? I guess you could say that I'm just really discouraged right now:crying2:. I'm just wanting to have a better idea for me and anyone else that might have the same question, but is just afraid to ask, if were heading in a positive direction. Thanks in advance for the assistance. :)

I havent taken NCLEX but am scheduled for next Thursday. My scores have ranged from 65-68%. I just finished taking question trainer 6 which is 200 questions and got a 74. I hope I do well, but what concerns me the most is the SATA questions that are given.

Do not get wrapped up in predictor test scores. Instead rely upon your own judgement about your readiness to test. Good luck.

I did Kaplan.. got 60-70's all tests. Took NCLX today.. not sure if i passed. Pretty darn tough.
melmonlove... thanks for the reply. your scores are grrreat! i wish mine were that good, then i'd probably feel a lot more at ease. good luck on your exam next week and let me know if you pass. :anpom:
caliotter3.... Thanks for the post. I understand that the Kaplan exams are not going to be the exact same as the NCLEX questions but it is still hard not to get discouraged when I can't make the 60% that my kaplan instructor said is the benchmark that I should be getting. I have a little less than three weeks till the exam. I still have a couple of the Q trainers left to do and less than half of the Q bank to finish over that time. Maybe by then I'll be a little closer! Thanks again.:)
Skyapple, did you pass? Your scores were great! Just wish mine were that good. Guess I'll keep on studying. 20 days to go, then hopefully I can say that I passed.

Hi I took Kaplan & the average I had on the QT was probably 60%. Saying that I think that you will be fine. I passed my nclex, I had 10-12 SATA 2math 3procedures i had to put in order. All that which kaplan prepared me for. Good Luck YOU CAN DO IT!

Did you think kaplan was similiar to Nclex? what else did you do to prepare for the exam. Im taking the test on the 23. and im freaking out!
Yes i do think that kaplan is similar to boards. The instructor I had from kaplan told us that every few years when the nclex is "re-designed" kaplan is too. Kaplan is based off or geared towards nclex. When I was studying I made sure I completed all QT, and I also had the kaplan book. I studyed from saunders as well. Also once you finish a QT review ALL rationales to get the understanding of why you did or didnt pick the correct answer. Day before the test I did NOTHING but relax & PRAY. Remember GOD didnt bring you this far for nothing. Believe YOU CAN DO IT & YOU WILL!!!!
1lpn2rn...Thanks for the encouragement. With the way my Kaplan instructor explained it, was that you needed to be scoring in the 60's before you'd be ready to test. I have some hope now that I know that others have passed NCLEX and scored less than 60 on the kaplan QT's. And yes, my faith and trust in God has brought me this far, and it will contiue to carry me through this too.

I took the kaplan class, which was a waste of time. But, the Kaplan qbank and trainors were really good. THe way the program is set up, even the color of the screen is similar. My scores were on average 56% - 59%. On NCLEX, I had around 150 questions, alot of pharm, and priority. I also had about 15 SATA. DO all Qbank and Qtrainors, and you will be fine. If I can pass, you can pass.
