For those who have taken KAPLAN...

Quick question...

I did not pass the nclex- rn the first time around in August. I enrolled in a Kaplan course that starts this Saturday and I don't want to wait too long after it ends to take my 2nd nclex exam because my job is being held for me and I am living without health benefits right now.

My question is ... is it a bad idea to schedule my exam for the week after my kaplan course ends?

Opinions and suggestions appreciated. :)

Thanks everyone .. I am determined to beat the beast this time around with faith and prayer!

I guess it should not be a problem if you put in all the necessary work betwn now and your next exan. i really would focus on being properly prepared

That's true. I plan on doing questions daily between now and the end of my kaplan course so hopefully I will be prepared and I guess if I don't feel ready, I can always postpone my date.

Thanks for the advice!

I took Kaplan for my first test and i failed. . I rescheduled to take it again in October and gave myself 8 weeks to study. I plan NOT to take the Kaplan class again because i thought it did not help. I'm doing Saunders and Suzanne's plan. I have read so many good things with saunders and suzanne's plan. hopefully i do good the next time around.

I think taking that soon depends on alot of things including how much work you put into it, and what your Kaplan scores are.

I think Kaplan was help me when I retake my test yesterday. Almost 50% of those questions were very similar with Kaplan quest. Kaplan questions are hard. So, If you can do Kaplan questions with at least 65% and above, I think you are ready to take NCLEX. I covered all Q bank questions and questions trainer 1-7. My score in between 70-90%. I did it at least 30 questions everyday. And I'm waiting for my result this coming Friday. Good luck for you!
