Hi,
I actually start my program this fall. I will continue working in home care though. I enjoy that right now and it is great because I can work it around my schedule. I have two small kids, a husband that works nights (4 nights on 4 nights off) and of course school and work. I am hoping that doing home care will also be considered good experience.
Im 25 and I own a Hair salon and do hair there as well as i work 5pm - 8am at a local electricity company as a night dispatcher few nights a week.... Im in my 3rd semester of school as an LVN and i will tell you that its hard but its managable!!! I will graduate in Aug and i dont plan on quitting either one of my jobs ill just add a 3rd into the mix and then start the bridge program in January lol..... its a lot but in the end it will be totally worth it....
I'm starting my LVN program on July 26th. I'm so excited. I have been working full time as a secretary/administrative assistant for three years now. I will continue to work full time while I do the program part time. It'll take longer and no doubt will be hard, but I'm ready for a career change in the worst way.
Good luck to everyone still working full time!
i work in retail. i do about 20-25 hrs per week of working, and schooling is about 40 hours a week, so no time for anything! it's a tough thing to do but i've kept my head up and worked my schedule around when I can study. if you plan on working make sure you have a day to rest on the weekends or something!

where do you work at? I see all these threads about people working while in the program, I was just wondering what kind of setting are you working in?
