For my resume

Published

Heres a question that I have asked a few people not on the boards and none really could answer....

I challenged to California lvn testing as I had 20 years in the military as a corpsman/medic. I was able to pass the test on the 1st try and able to work for the department of defense as an lpn.

My question is: I am updating my resume and need to know what and how to enter the fact that I used my military training for my education?? I do have my certificates from my military training.. do I use those as my official education listing?

thanks in advance

Yes, I would. With that being said, there may be jobs that require "graduate of accredited LPN program" along with an active license.

On this July 4th, thank you for your service to our country.

Best wishes!

Jade;

do you think this would hinder me being hired for any of those spots with "graduate of an accredited LPN program"?

I must have stumped everyone with this question. ?

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Depends. Some will make exceptions others are mandated by regulations to only hire nursing school graduates (so those who challenged lvn or did lvn +30 credit option for RN would not be eligible) you won't know until you apply. I would put your military training certificates for education. CA employers should be understanding of the challenge option for LVN
