...questions that had content in the stem that made you say, "crap. i didn't study that." you don't remember cuz maybe you didn't finish the review book you were reading before exam day. these aren't the "who do you see first" questions or assignment/infection control questions. these are the ones with a specific condition where you need to include priority teaching.
like today, i was doing questions about reproductive problems. the topic was the BRCA gene. and i haven't come across that. i had to choose an answer that dealt with priority teaching. i guessed the wrong answer cuz i didn't see that topic in my studies. there's just SOO much nursing content! and i have like piles of review books that i didn't finish in time before my test. and my test is this week.
how do you handle questions like that?

i know i have been facing the same thing .... my exam is next week !! its like even when i do kaplan i am guessing more than half of the things .... give me priority give me delegation i can deal with that ... but there r things that i have literally no idea of !!! what do i do with these ???
thats when i try n calm myself that i have done everthing thing that i can possibly do ... there is only so much a person can do .... for me personally its impossible to know every minute details about each topic ... and i refuse to do that .. coz my brain just shuts off at a certain point ..... toward the end there isnt much we can do .. just reinforce what u know .. atleast thats a safe bet !!

In that case use your besssst process of elimination (POE). I can't say that anything on my exam was really foreign however if I did come across something that was a little fuzzy in my knowledge, I did POE. I mean there is nothing else you could do other than waste time staring at the question for ten minutes, lol.

I agree. Try to get rid of anything obvious. Then it's best guess.
