I am starting to review content as of tommorrow.. i think ive done enough questions.. and want to do some content review... so how did u guys prepare for pharmacology? and how many hours of time did u spend studying pharmacology? did u only do pharm. questions.. or read pharamcology content? .. and is there any other content reading i should focus on? ..
now that ive passed, i want to contribute to this question.. i really didnt study pharmacology deeply, as that was what I was getting for most replies on this thread. The last couple days before taking the nclex.. i opened the kaplan course book and skimmed through the last few pages , they have tables with medications listed under classifications with major side effects.. i did not try to memorize that at all.. i just read them real quick and paid attention to the big drugs.. and that was all.. and it worked, because i was certain when i got out of the exam that if not anything, i passed the pharmacology section. It is not a killer as most ppl think, if we dont know the meds, we will be able to recognize them by suffixs, so memorize all ur suffixes.
Thanks for the infos1byt the way, which do you find harder, real nclex or kaplan trainers?
the kaplan trainers are much harder, but they will train you to critically think.. i didnt go into the exam with confidence.. i was sure for 100% that i was going to fail, but maybe this time in the 200s for questions.
I can feel that your nervous, and dont lose heart, i was too!! i went in with intense fear and panic.. i came out crying!!! but one thing, i didnt let my fears over take me during the exam.. i paid close attention to what the question was asking .. and then i choose the carefully choose the answer.. and that worked for me! .. you will pass.. i can feel it :)
Thanks 2bnurse4life4ever!you're so generous to us all. No doubt, a lot of people greeted you and celebrated for your recent nclex success!
i hope im doing better. DOne with trainers 1-4 and i'm scoring 70s which makes me worried though. I am so worried that i might be given never been heard diseases in my test. OMG! I'm nervous as you know, this is my second take. I hope God will not let anxiety rule me during the test so I can celebrate like you guys. If somebody can do the trick for me i'll think about it. I'm afraid to try it!.LOL! I'm taking California.
Thanks so much! Again, COngratulations! mmwaaah!

Thank you!! Awwwww mwaaaaaaahhh to you too!!! :) :icon_hug:
You are doing great with question trainers, you will find the nclex much easier. Trust me. You are going to make an excellent nurse. Especially because you know how it feels to once lose something before getting it. You are going to value your career more than ones who got it easily with their first try. Please dont lose hope. Go into the nclex with lots of confidence, and keeping telling yourself "Im a nurse, Im a nurse, I am a RN!!!" .. If you need any other advice, you always have my shoulder.
