Hi everyone!
I've recently been playing around with the idea of becoming a family nurse practitioner with a focus in women's health. I'm leaning more towards FNP vs. WHNP so I have some more options if need be. I'm currently working as a rehab nurse and have only been a nurse for 6 months. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what kind of clinical experience I should get to prepare to apply to an FNP program. I want to get into women's health somehow but am not sure where to start. Any advice?
Thanks!

I would also like to hear answers to this. I do not have a lot of acute care experience and I am applying to FNP program.
I was was really worried about this but I have been told that FNP role is so different than RN that it doesn't really matter what kind of nursing experience you have - the program and clinicals should prepare you for practice no matter what your background is.
