Fluids & Electrolytes Made Incredibly Easy

Published

Would anyone recommend this book, if so did it help you any.

Also, what other incredibly made easy books would you recommend.

I have the anatomy and physiology made incredibly easy, and they feature a chapter on fluid and electrolytes. I love the series, I think it's really helpful. The cartoon drawings tend to simplify things, and they give you lots of useful memory tricks.

I found it helpful. I bought mine for $5 on www.half.com. It was an older edition, but it's all the same really. I liked the end of chapter quizzes that helped you know if you were retaining the information.

I would advise that book as well as the other ones from that series. They are very helpful!

I just wanted to mention, though I don't have the book...I have been looking into buying and new it is almost $40. I have been to half.com as well as ebay, and have seen it for as little as $11.

Hope you get a great deal on it, sounds like a useful book :wink2:

My son was flipping through it when I was beating F/E into my head last semester. He looked up and said, "The cover lies. This stuff is NOT incredibly easy!"

But yes, compared to the other books, it was great. What helped me the most was learning which electrolytes were in relationship w/each other. Such as when Calcium is down, Phosphorus and blood pH is up. Or sodium and potassium, etc. That way I only had to learn one set of signs and symptoms, then reverse them for the other thing.
