Mid to high 20's is right for Florida. Florida has always been a low paying state. Some companies, like Fastaff, offer $40 an hour for Florida. What they don't tell you is that your contract is for 48-60 hours a week, no medical/dental, and no housing. One company that I did hear of high rates was Axis Healthcare. They pay using a tax-blended rate.
i was a house supervisor (staff) and only got 27/hr...wages are notoriously low...i knew several nurses with 10+ years experience who were making 21/hr.
because so many nurses from the north want to come to florida, i think that florida takes advantage of it, and pay low wages..
so you might have the warmth and sun, but less in your pocket.
I am on a cardiac stepdown unit in SW Florida making about $34/hr, but this is nights (with a two dollar differential). Furnished housing, utilities, and W/D in unit. Very nice, but I'm working hard for it! I also interviewed for another stepdown for $29, in SW FL and one in central FL for $31--day shift. These jobs all included furnished housing and utilities, travel stipend plus hourly wage. Those were day positions. I think the range is usually mid twenties. Florida is not the best paying, typically.

Currently in NM, but wanting to go to Florida for my next assignment. Just want to have an idea of what I should expect for pay before I start negotiating.
