UF BSN 2019

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I haven't seen a thread for the traditional BSN program for fall of 2019, so I decided to make one! Applications opened November 9th!

Here's a few stats about me!

In December, I will graduate with my AA from College of Central Florida so I will be applying as a transfer student!

My cumulative GPA is a 3.5

My pre req GPA is a 3.7

Any nursing students that have been admitted, do you have any advice/suggestions for applications? I saw that this year is the first year we have to take the HESI A2 exam, but anything helps!

I am also applying to UCF's nursing program. I haven't decided on any others but I need to look into a few more.

Hi Sophia

I just finished my AA degree requirements from Valencia Community college. I have an overall gpa of 4.0 and I take teas on late January.

I didn't apply for UF because I heard that it's extremely hard to get in. I am applying for UCF on February.

Just a question do I need to take a chemistry to apply for either UF or UCF? I haven't taken any chem course.

Hey! I'm currently taking a gap year before nursing school but I'm currently at Miami Dade College and just finished a Nursing Assistant course and should be licensed by January. I have a 3.8 GPA and was a part of a school club. I also have volunteer experience at two hospitals and took the HESI and Teas. I got a %90 on the HESI and %85 on the TEAS. I don't know if I'll make it into UF, but I'm planning on also applying to UCF, USF, and FIU. What do you guys think?

Hi, I applied last year to the program and did not get in. I had a 3.96 GPA and all the prerequisites but unfortunately I didn't get in since they only accept about 3-5 transfers a year. I moved to UF and am in a different major taking classes, I am still applying again this year. Does anyone on UF campus wanna study for the HESI A2 together?

Hi! I'm applying too. I'm hoping to transfer in. I'm currently at Valencia College in Orlando. I have a 4.0 GPA and I've worked as a medication technician and nurse assistant for 2 years. I'm involved with clubs at Valencia and am the president of one of them. I volunteered at an animal shelter and have some shadowing experience at my local hospital. I take my HESI exam next week. I hope it's enough!! I know it's crazy hard for transfers to get in but I'm hoping for the best!

Hello! I am a Native UF student who is applying to the Traditional BSN program for Fall 2019. My GPA is a 3.85 prerequisite and 3.83 in total. I haven’t taken the HESI-A2 yet, I scheduled it in about 11 days from now. I currently volunteer at a health and rehab nursing home. I’ve volunteered at a hospital as well. I am active in 2 clubs and I am chairman of the health fair committee for the 2018-19 school year. i worked as a poll monitor in the midterm elections, which i related it to caring for the community. And I am a mentor to a high school student with my strong suit being Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. I can’t wait until we find out, Good luck to everyone!

Thank you so much! Do you know if the math portion is with or without calculator?

So I am a little late in the process and just filled out the request for the HESI. How long after were you able to schedule it?

Has anyone heard something back? It is almost one month since application deadline
