Is anyone applying to Bethune-Cookman spring 2013 nursing program? I am currently in the

process of applying and getting my cpr card, immunization records, and teas together.

I would love to hear from applicants :nurse:

We are classmates then. Hopefully, we can get along and make it through the nursing program.

Yes we are! Hopefully, we can get through this battle together. Beside we are working on our career. I am aslo trying to get my MSN. This is not going to be easy, so to find or two will make it a little easier if you have someone to talk too. Can't wait to start the program.

The first day of class will should meet up face to face. Be untill then have a happy hoildays and be safe. We shall talk before its time to meet up at the school.:D

Im so happy you both got in! Ive been so swamped with school so keeping up with this thread has been difficult. Youll need a clinical uniform (do not buy it thru the school its expensive just buy the patches and name tag) community uniform burgundy polo and khaki pants (buy those on your own too just sew school patch on shirt) stethoscope get a quality one. I have a littmann and it makes a world of difference when listening to body sounds., bp cuff, penlight and bandage scissors . Ill stop rambling. If you guys have questions lmk ill get back to ya

Thank you for your support, Dark Star. This has been much appreciated. I have a pen light, BP cuff, and scissors. Do you have a recommendation for buying a clinical uniform? Who should I contact for obtaining a nursing related scholarship? Again thanks a lot for your help. Hope to meet you both and discuss some plans for success.

I would go directly to the dean of nursings office and speak to her assistant ms. ********. Speak to ms. ******* first when u get there and let her know that u need to speak with her about scholarship oppurtunities. I would make a trip to bethune before the winter break so you get first dibs if there is any money. Ill be honest, you will get a hard time when you ask. They do that to test you bc it happened to me. Current nursing students get funds first so there may not be much left for you. If you have a gpa of less than 3.0 dont even bother asking bc youll just get your feelings hurt. I got a scholarship for books but i was very lucky and talked to the deans asst. EARLY.

Thank you darkstar you are a life saver! If there anything you can think of, that you would like to share please do so... I am so scared of this program, but really to start. Sounds crazy! As the days go by I will have some questions not a lot I don’t want to overwhelm you. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

I enjoy helping. I know how scary it can be when youre facing the unknown. I wish i had someone tell me these things when i got accepted. You will have a ton of work and its going to be hard, but you will make friends and have fun in spite of the torture. I would get to know fall admit students (me lol) bc we can help you tremendously with hw and test bc we just went through it. Nursing school can be so much easier if you utilize your resources.

Most definitely! I will follow your lead. For the uniform you had stated to purchase our own, so the color of the uniform are all white. And you also stated that we need a pant of khaki pants and burgundy shirt. Just checking to make sure I understood!!

Congratulations to all those who got into Bethune-Cookman Nursing school. Hopefully, we all become nurses and graduate the program. I thank god he has given me a second chance at nursing school. Anyway, for those interested I have made a face book page for us all.
