Bethune-Cookman Nursing program Spring 2013

Is anyone applying to Bethune-Cookman spring 2013 nursing program? I am currently in the

process of applying and getting my cpr card, immunization records, and teas together.

Most definitely! I will follow your lead. For the uniform you had stated to purchase our own, so the color of the uniform are all white. And you also stated that we need a pant of khaki pants and burgundy shirt. Just checking to make sure I understood!!

Congratulations to all those who got into Bethune-Cookman Nursing school. Hopefully, we all become nurses and graduate the program. I thank god he has given me a second chance at nursing school. Anyway, for those interested I have made a face book page for us all.

Has anybody heard when orientation will be for the Spring 2013 semester at Bethune-Cookman nursing? Darkstar, do you know ? When the new classes will begin?

Your orientation will be on the first day of classes... at least, that's how it was for us (Fall 2012 admits).

You will have about... 6 weeks where you will learn basic CNA skills and then you will start clinicals. Some advice... Do NOT pic a nursing home. If you can, request a hospital to do your clinical rotation. They will say that it doesnt matter, but it REALLY does. I did my rotation at a nursing home and I didnt get to do much at all. I HATED it.

Thanks for your reply, Darkstar.I already experienced that, Dark Star. You probably read the thread where I mentioned being the only male in the CNA class. I did CNA clinical rotation. I got a CNA certification just for getting a job at the local hospital as a tech but politics and the high employment rate in my area keep me away from a nurse tech position. Thank you for being supportive, Dark star. In the nursing home I did the CNA rotation it seemed the staff was miserable as well as the residents. BTW, did you go to the Bethune-Cookman student check in session? Are we automatically registered for classes if we are in the nursing school?

Hello,

I received a letter in the mail it stated that check-in will be held on wednesday Jan. 9, 2013 that begin at 8:00- 4:00. The letter also, stated that we are expected to attend Cub Camp on Thurday Jan.10 2013and register for classes on Fri. 11, 2013. When I called up to the school they stated that nursing classes begin on Jan. 15. I hope this helps.

This may be a stupid question but, how many uniform, polo shirts and khaki pants are needed. Sorry never been in the nursing program before. I want to make sure I have uniforms materials.
