Florida Nursing License

How long does it actually take to get a Florida license. I have heard weeks, how many weeks? I am trying to get mine before the first of October. It has been two weeks. What are my chances? They are holding my job until then, but if I don't get it, bye bye job.

thanks KateRN1, well hopefully i have mailed them eveerything the first time i tried to send a copy of everything i had, probably to much and most of my stuff will end up in the trash(lol) i just figured better safe than sorry. i am hoping that i can be one of the lucky ones and hear from them by the 30 time frame.

I think I set a record, I did the online app on the 8th of September, mailed my fingerprint cards and med error certificate to Florida and sent my license verification to NYS office of Professions the same day. I checked the Florida Healthcare Practioners website this morning (Sept 21st) in the link that they send you to check the status of your app and low and behold I now have a Florida RN license. Total of 14 days

Thats funny I have my Michigan license too and am relocating there this November..Where do you plan on moving and working???

well i checked the fl bon site this morning and was soooooo happy to see i was issued a fl license number i printed the verification form just to make sure i wasn't seeing things(lol)i should receive my actual license in 7-10 days!!!!!!! thanks for all the support from everyone on all nurses, you guys keep me going and answered all my questions and gave me encouragement to keep going, and thanks to the staff at capscare academy for the tools and the confidence i needed!!!!!!!
