Florida IV certification

Does anyone know where I can get my IV certification in Northern FL? Thanks.

Check with a few near by community colleges. I'm on the same hunt. The FLBON website also has a list of places that offer the IV course. If you're employed, then your nurse educator may also have access to such info or offer in house training and certification. I'll be watching this thread :) Best of luck!

Google "clinical solutions " and look for their FL iv therapy cert class .. I was IV certified in the state of Missouri, and when I went to Florida I called the board and asked if it would transfer and I could never get a straight answer. Our IV certification courses in Missouri are built into our nursing school so there wasn't a certificate or anything that I could just show them to show that I was so I just decided to take it over. I took the course and I liked it because it wasn't three or four days like many of the other courses… It was only supposed to be two days long because you do a short on line portion that is provided by them for you, before you attend the course. Also our class ended up being small so we got it all done in one day instead of two.

Search after search, I finally found it with Nurse Refresher Kane educational. I had to commute to St. Augustine, but it was a 1 day class instead of two days which is what I was seeing and then you complete a test at home. The hands on was good. Would recommend.

Bummer. I would think if you are officially certified through a program it should transfer. The question was addressed with how long they are good and the instructor stated well board just states IV certified. Where you work might want every 2 years. The program I found was 1 day and because I had been doing IV and venipuncture it was more like a review and easy to get through.
