Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) CRNA Application 2025

Published

I couldn't find a thread for FGCU Spring 2025 application so I thought I would start one. Is anyone else out there applying?

I also received an interview invitation earlier today.

I applied as well, good luck to everyone and congratulations to those who have received an interview invitation so far.. not so patiently waiting hahah! I live in Ft. Myers so this is my #1 school choice.

Specializes in SICU/MICU/CVICU.

Just joined this website to chirp in. Got my interview email yesterday. I am shocked as out of the 5 schools I have applied to, thought my application would not even be read for FGCU LOL. I live nowhere close but have grown up going to the area my entire life for vacation. A huge chunk of my heart stays in SWFL.

Congratulations and good luck on your interview! I've lived in Ft. Myers my whole life so this is my top pick school. When did you submit your application? Mine went through on July 31st so just trying to gauge the progress, although I expected to take a while to hear back

Everyone who has been notified of an invitation to an interview or not, when did you submit your applications?

Seems like there's a few people here that are from area with that being said, does anyone have any entail on the program. They don't have as many hospitals as many of the other schools I've applied to. Do they send their students to all over for their peds, regional ect. Does anyone know anyone who's currently in program, do they like it? Hoping the open house answers a lot of these questions

their rotations go to Lee health (which has like 3-4 hospitals) and then NCH (2 hospitals) then I think one more hospital like two hours north. I shadowed a CRNA at NCH and met some students, they like it !! I've heard from multiple students that FGCU is the most "organized " school in the area compared to kaiser. I did hear that theres not as much experience for peds though.

That's good to hear! Thank you! Have you heard if their students get plenty of OR/ case time

I submitted my application on July 26th (had to go back and look). I also did not take my GRE until mid-August, just uploaded a picture of my sign up confirmation with initial application. They got my official scores last week. Let me ask around on a few pre-CRNA FB groups if anyone knows anything about FGCU. I am excited for the open house to hear more.

I wish I did the same thing with the GRE. I thought I had to have my scores in with my application so I took it without studying receiving a 293 😞 still hoping for the best

I got a 299.5! I was 2 points short of whatever their minimal quant score was but was over the minimum score for verbal and writing (barely). Keep your hopes up. It is only Wednesday.
