Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine

Published

Hi...Does anyone know how the conditions are at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine?

Or the current wage there?

Thanks

I don't know anyone that works there, but I just saw in my local paper that they are a Magnet hospital. some say that that doesn't mean much though, so take it for what it's worth.

I know starting pay for new grads is $19 hr. & $21 hr. after passing boards. I did alot of clinicals there & it is a very nice facility. Several of my classmates went to work there. I also know there's a hiring freeze right now, but don't know if it's only for certian departments. I'm sure the nurse recruiter give more info on that.

I just got hired at Flagler and I am just waiting on the paperwork from the state. I love this facility. I will make $19.75 to start (before boards). The hiring freeze has been lifted but I imagine that the have recieved many applications from the new grads in our area. The facility itself is immaculate. The employees seem very friendly. I look forward to the learning experience.

Is this the base pay? or with shift diff?

Also, do you know if they hire new grads Part-time?

Thx

Base pay. Shift diff is $3/hr for 3-11, $5/hr for 11-7 and weekend is 10% additional. I'm not sure about the part time positions. I know that they were hiring PRN.

For the area, their pay is awesome.

They will hire some new grads even with a hire freeze, especially from SJRCC because they are a major supporter of the program. There was a big deal about this when my class graduated & they did eventually hire 5.

Anyone have any insight into the pay and differentials at Flagler now, almost 4 years later?

I don't know what their pay is but since August 2009 they will only hire BSN's.

I see that. Hopefully the pay reflects such a stiff requirement.

One could only hope, not sure that it does though.
