FIU Nursing 2015

Hey guys! So I'm super nervous about applying to FIU because I don't think my GPA is all that great. :/ I didn't do well my first semester there so that brought my GPA doooown. Currently I have a 3.6 overall and a 3.5 science (which is really bad...I finished all of my science classes last semester). Hopefully by the end of this spring semester my overall will be at a 3.7. I do not have volunteer hours but I have been shadowing at a hospital (which I prefer because I had a bad experience volunteering lol). I'm taking the TEAS at the end of this month and I'm studying super hard for it right now >__<. if you guys have any good study tips on how to do well the teas that would be greatly appreciated too for those already in program or graduated from what think my chances are advice is great thank so much>

You Should check your FIU email, because same thing happened to me, and the whole time I had the response. The call was probably from Joseph Porta wondering why you have not confirmed the email.

Has anyone done their criminal background check yet?

I'm not an FIU student. I will give him another call Monday because I think I put down I had a FIU email on the application because I didn't know that I did not have one lol

When you applied to FIU as a transfer student you'll see your FIU email address in your Myfiu portal, and that's where the nursing office is going to contact you.

NOOOOO i was accepted Monday but on Tuesday I got another email saying if I didn't confirm my spot by that night it would go to someone else.. I already sent an email just now accepting it but I hope it's not too late. I left a message on his voicemail. I will call Tuesday at 8 am to see if there's still a spot open or not. I'm so worried.

I hope so! Thank you soo much for your help. All I can do now is wait till Tuesday to see if they'll let me still have the position.

not yet the fall 2015 option isn't available. i hope they update it soon i want to get everything out of the way before orientation.

Hopefully, I want to be set before orientation too, because I have awful luck, I don't want anything to happen to prevent me from being able to enroll in classes.

I am moving from Orlando . I was thinking about the apartments across from FIU . But it's very expensive .

Yes Miami is incredibly expensive. I'm going to look around the area, but the student apartments close to campus are convenient but I don't know if they're worth $840
