FIU Generic BSN Fall 2018

Hi everyone!

I realized there was no forum for this year and was hoping we could all share stats and information about our application process!

Hay guys! I'm super nervous for fiu because I feel like I'm not going to get in compared to other peoples stats. I have a 3.7 overall and depending on my science class this semester... I might have a 3.4 or 3.6 science gpa which worries me since other's have 4.0. I have over 1,000 hours and I got a 71 on my teas sadly:( If FIU doesn't take me then at least I have Nova.

Alex, you have soo many hours! I feel like that will *really* help you out. They will see that you are a hard worker and have a lot of dedication. The average GPA of people who get into the program is 3.7 which means that a good amount of the people who got into the program didn't have 3.7 or above. Hopefully that eases your worries a little! :) Best of luck with your science class!

Hi everyone! I saw 3 different posts for this year, but this one seems to have the most interaction. I am also applying to FIU & quite frankly, the wait is KILLING ME!!! Depending on the answer, I need to start making moves either way, & I prob shouldn't have put my eggs all in one basket & only applied here but I WANT THIS, & I have worked so hard-like I am sure all of you have as well- and I am trying to stay positive... Getting in would mean so much to me in so many ways & I hope we can all go on this journey together! Best of luck to us all!!!

Hey guys! I know that you all are probably super nervous/excited about finding out your status, but from what I've read here, your stats are great! I am currently in the FIU BSN program and these were my stats that got me in:

Overall GPA: 3.45

Pre Req GPA: 3.71

Teas: 91%

Community Service: 290 hours

Hey Jenny! May I ask what advisor it was that said this to you? Just curious since the last person that I had spoken with said 100, so I am wondering if they changed it thereafter 🤷🏻*♀️

acceptances come in groups so don't be nervous if you don't get it with the first group of students!

Hey AngelBb! I actually heard the 80 students thing from Christian. I had to call him one day for assistance with the application and he mentioned it was more competitive with 80 spots. I have no idea if maybe it was just a rumor he'd heard or if it was true but they decided to change it to 100 again. Either way, I'm relieved to find out you're hearing 100. I really hope that's it.

When I read that I was like... OMG!!! :() I called over to the nursing department this week & asked & they said 100í ¾í´·í ¼í¿»*♀️For our sake- I hope it was that they changed their minds! Lol
