FIU Fall 2016 Generic BSN

Hey guys! Is anyone here applying for the Generic BSN program for Fall 2016? I couldn't find any topics for it.

I'm in the process of applying right now and I just took the TEAS V today! I'm content with my score, but I may retake it. I hope that with my TEAS V score, my GPA, and my extracurricular activities combined that have a good chance of getting accepted into the program!

My stats are:

Science GPA: 4.0

GPA: 3.96

TEAS V Cumulative score: 79.3%

Reading portion: 83.3% unfortunately I ran out time on this one and had to blindly guess on two questions!

Math portion: 66.7% such a bad score for me! I had to guess on like 5 questions because I wasn't keeping track of time!

Science: 81.3% I'm so relieved with this score. I was so scared that I wouldn't pass the 62% mark. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!

English and Grammar: 83.3 % It was an okay section, a couple of tricky questions. I had like 3 questions on how a word is spelled correctly and those get confusing when two of them look like the right answer!

I would love to hear from anyone else who is also applying for the Fall 2016!

Has it only been acceptances? Or denial and wait listed as well because I haven't heard from anyone about the denial

Has anyone tried emailing FIU's nursing and health science academic advisor? I've been emailing her all year and she's helped me through the whole process of applying and she usually answers her email pretty quickly. If you guys haven't, I can email her now and see what she says!

Ivy denials were sent out as well. I'm hoping everyone here is accepted since no one has mentioned denials so far (forums wise)

Yes there is a checklist as well as the dates for orientation and the instructions on how to setup your complio account. I will try to upload them now for you guys.

Go to Welcome To: Florida International University's Background Checks & Immunization Tracking System choose BSN generic then click on BSN FEP students. That will prompt you to the complio website Where you will create your account. After verifying your account via email log in to the website and click get started. Select

-program:BSN generic undergraduate nursing

-Applicant Type:student

-start Date: Fall2016

Then click load packages

According to Mr. Bruce Yap who is the clinical specialist coordinator we must purchase the following packages

1.criminal background check ($59.00)

2.FL VECHS FBI FINGERPRINT SEARCH ($55.50 for FL residents and $57.50 for non FL residents)

3.7 year employment verification ($30.00 *only purchase this if you have been employed in the past 7 years)

4.10 panel paperless drug screen ($37.00)

5. BSN Generic Package ($30.00)

The estimated order total is $211.50 this is without taxes.
