Starting new thread for FIU’s potential 2021 CRNA Cohort. Post stats, important dates, application FAQs, and other relevant admission info here. Please omit names for privacy.

Application is Due May 5, 2020.

Honestly, not impressed with FIU's flexibility at this time. Mairelys just emailed me saying to sign up for the at-home GRE. However, I too have a Macbook.

Anyone else receiving updates?

That’s crazy. I also have a Mac. If that’s the case, I won’t be applying.

Hi guys I recently submitted my application! Has anyone heard back. I know it’s early still but in the past some peoples heard from them in April.

The application deadline has been extended to June 1st. I'm relieved because I've been driving myself crazy trying to get my references.

I just recently submitted my app and found this thread. I decided to join because I feel like we can keep each other in check with all of the uncertainty going around. Good luck to everyone and please share any information you guys figure out about the process. I will do the same.

I emailed Mairelys to try and get some info and she said they don't know when interviews will be, but most likely after June 1st.... basically stuff we already knew, but I wanted to make sure they weren't going to do early interviews.

Question: when you guys login to the regular FIU graduate application page, does your status say something like "Referred to Dept for Decision" or "admission not confirmed." I figure this is normal, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something vital.

Mine says “referred to dept for decision” last time I checked.

Wonder if taking the GRE after the deadline is OK, with COVID-19 interrupting everything. I emailed the program coordinator and she pretty much just said what it says on the websit - which is that the GRE is required.. So there’s a gray area there. I don’t have a Windows computer to take the at home GRE test.

That's frustrating. Would you consider buying one of those $300 laptops offline and just returning it when you're done?
