Does anyone know if FIU is pushing back the application deadline, even just by 2 weeks, due to un forseen Coronavirus circumstances?? It's a little unfair that I had my GRE scheduled for this week (scheduled months ago) and now I am forced to reschedule to April 15th due to coronavirus and mandatory shut down of testing centers. Doesn't it take 2 to 3 weeks to get official GRE results back? Even if I took it April 16th I wouldn't have official scores back in time. I have everything for the application besides GRE and I can't submit until I have those scores. Disappointing...

Has anyone been able to touch base with Mairelys to obtain updated info in regards to GREs, remote interviews, timelines, etc? I just emailed her and will share what she says

I’m curious to know as well. Everything has been crazy. I was supposed to take the GRE this week. Not sure when I’ll be able to take it. I sent a request for transcripts. Hopefully that’ll go through before everything shuts down.

Hello everyone,

I emailed FIU on Tuesday (March 17th) and this is what they emailed me back verbatim, “the application deadline remains the same.”

I too am supposed to take the GRE in April and now things are uncertain. Maybe they will reconsider as this situation with this virus has gotten worse.

Disregard what’s I just said,

I just called and spoke with Mairelys and she said due to the situation, they are accepting applications without the GRE. They will accept a confirmation of a test date in lieu of scores.

OK sounds good. So on NursingCas what do we put in the Test Score section since we don't have scores yet, just a copy of our test date confirmation as well as in the FIU Graduate School Admission Application or how did she purpose we present proof of test date confirmation? I don't want to submit my application and the University be thrown off by not seeing GRE scores. It also is a plus that they accept 45 students, which is a fairly large class comparative to other programs which are more around 25-35 students. I may just contact her to confirm. The help is much appreciated!

I just came across this absolute game-changer from ETS! They added a new feature for "at-home testing" starting March 27th. *FYI your computer has to be on windows and not MacBook*. Unfortunately, I'm 100% a MacBook person so I will have to figure out how to access a windows computer ? Hopefully I can just borrow friends. Regardless, I hope this message was of great help to others who's exam was moved from this week!- Best of luck to everyone during the application process.

While looking over the NursingCAS site I noticed that they added this at the bottom of the home page for FIU.

"The FIU Nurse Anesthesia Program in the abundance of caution will not be conducting face to face interviews this year. All applicants who are invited for an interview will receive a Zoom invite for their specific time. Thank you again for considering the FIU Nurse Anesthesia Program."
