FIU AO BSN (fall 2020)

Hi everyone!
This site has been very helpful for me while I worked on my application, therefore, I wanted to start a thread on the applicants for FIU’s fall 2020 AO BSN program. It may be a little early right now, but I would love to speak to anyone who has applied or planning to. ?

Hey guys, 

congratulation, I got my email too. I’m in?. But I’ve been also accepted at UM  and I’m on the verge about which one to pick with the stats that came out with UM making it to the top 50 nationally and FIU still in the 186th tank. What are your thoughts?

Hi! 
I also received acceptance. I had a prereq GPA of 3.7 and my TEAS was 90.7 overall and science was 87.2. Hopefully you hear back soon!

I had volunteer hours, letters of Rec, TEAS of 94 w/science 94. I don’t know what my prerequisite GPA was but I think somewhere near 3.6-3.8

Congrats for both! I think going to UM would be great not only for your education but also for your connections/ networking and resume (at least according to a few of my family members who went there). At the end of the day, the way I think about big decisions like this is “Would I kick myself in the future/ have regrets if I missed this opportunity? Or would I be at peace, like ‘oh well, it is what it is!’” Good luck!

TEAS score was 90.7 / Science 91.5. GPA 3.7

I currently work at a hospital, so I have work experience and references.

 

I think we should know each others names. Obviously mine is Jackie. Looking forward to meet you all soon!

I also accepted a seat at UM, but I think I’ll be attending FIU. I’d prefer to just pay my tuition out of pocket in full, while at Miami I’d have to take a loan. I’m also planning on pursuing more school down the line so I’d prefer to keep costs lower. 
 

My TEAS was 93.3 overall and 91.5 science. GPA a 3.5.
