First time here . Nurse in india now migrated to CA

Hello all, I am writing this on behalf of my Wife. She was a BSc Nurse in Punjab, INDIA. So now that she is in USA we need help with the whole process. Is there a step by step guide here or a nurse from state of punjab who had his/her license transfered. I know she has to take NCLEX and I already filled out the online application for CA. I need help with next process from her colleges in india and PNRC. and also she did her GNM and BSc from two different colleges. Thanks

Check the BRN website. There is a section on applying for a license for foreign trained nurses. That would be the place to start.

Each state is different, so I do not have any advice. But welcome! We are always in need of good nurses, so I’m glad to have her in the US.

Hello there,

I am from India and currently living in Canada. I am also a nurse by profession. Me and my husband planning to move to the US. So I would like to know more about the nursing registration process in the US. I have very limited knowledge about it. If u can give some guidance that will be highly appreciated. I saw your post, I hope you may be find the required resources regarding the steps to do the process Plz share and help.

You look at the state website that you plan on living and working in and check out requirements for international trained nurses
