First Round Of Placement Set For October 5th

Hi All,

I wanted to start a new thread since the first round of placements for the Maricopa Community Colleges are soon approaching. Let's continue to encourage each other and keep each other informed by sharing your exciting news about your placement. Since the status page stated that the bulk of the notifications will be from students in the Feb/Mar 09 range, please if at all possible let us know when your date/time stamp is so it can give the rest of us some small indication of where we are in the process.

I can't believe there are NO placements for either CGCC program this spring!!! Does anyone know why not?? :uhoh3:

I wonder if it has anything to do with the bad reputation it has recently be given by several past and current students??????:uhoh3:

Hello! My timestamp is Feb 09 and I REALLY hope I get in for Spring. I wish everyone else luck! :D Are there lots of others with a similar timestamp?

I was thinking the same thing about CGCC. Hopefully things will improve and they will have it as an option for those who might get in next fall!

I am so nervous and excited to find out if I got in!!! Does anyone know what time of day they notify you? It is by email right?

From what I understand, CGCC has had placement in the past for Summer and Fall, not Spring, so it's likely that this is the case and not from a "bad reputation." Hope that helps and good luck to everyone!

As of this morning, 841 people still have not re-affirmed their interest in attending the nursing program at the Maricopa Community Colleges. I wonder if this number will stay the same since they emailed us last week. If that is the case I wonder how far they will get on the list on October 5th:D

Not sure if I will get placed this century. :) I only have two choices GCC Weekend Day and GWCC Part Time.

This gives me hope. I'm *fingers crossed* moving out that way after christmas and have been getting my paperwork ready to apply to the program. I think in the next few semesters we might see a drop in the number of applicants as people get into other programs or go advanced placement after spending time getting an LPN in the meantime. Either way, good luck!

The wait just seems really long, I am really hoping to be in by Fall 2011, my advisor said I could possibly have another 2-3 semester wait:crying2: I turned my application in August of 09 just shy of the cut off and and was advised then that the wait was 3-4 semesters. My time stamp is October 16th so we will just have to wait and see.

They say patience is a virtue:)

I think that everyone should start posting their date and time stamp so we can see maybe how many people are ahead of us! My date and time is 10/16/09 08:05am I really hope to get in next fall fingers are crossed!

I am on the waiting list for the GCC part-time program and my

date/time stamp is 6/16/09 at 8:00:17 am. If nothing else,

this whole process teaches you patience. :rolleyes:
