  1. Thank you SO much for the info! If you can email me a copy of the book list, that would be fantastic! rachelsmith 98 @ yahoo .com (no spaces). Can't wait to get started!
  2. Hello, all! I just got placed for CGCC Traditional for Fall as well! My date stamp was 6/11/10 8:06:00a. I am incredibly excited! A little worried since I have less than two weeks to get my paperwork done and get my books/supplies, etc. and I don't even have any of the info yet, yikes! I look forward to meeting you all and working with you soon!
  3. AZ_melanie, I would love to have the info for the CHW/CGCC partnership, if you still have it. Thanks! Rachel
  4. From what I understand, CGCC has had placement in the past for Summer and Fall, not Spring, so it's likely that this is the case and not from a "bad reputation." Hope that helps and good luck to everyone!
  5. pediRN2B...please keep us posted as you go through the program at CGCC. They are listed as my first choice simply because of location, but I, too, worry about all the negative comments about their program. As far as I see it, I know myself and my work and study habits and I intend on putting everything I can into whatever program I am accepted to. I would love to hear your impressions of the program as you progress through. Good luck!!
  6. Yep, that's what I'm thinking as well; Spring 2012
  7. My first choice is Chandler-Gilbert 4 semester and then CGCC accelerated and MCC as my third. I applied at the end of May. Good luck!! Rachel
  8. I also got my date time stamp on 6/11/10; mine is 8:06:00. Does that really mean there were 600 applicants this period? Yikes!!
  9. Oh no, about the typo! I hope that's something that isn't too difficult to get corrected! I just finished bio 201 this month. Good luck to you!
  10. I received my card today!! It took 4 weeks. Now I have everything I need and I'll be turning in my application for the MCCCDNP next week!
  11. Looks like the above link is maybe only for exisiting/renewal licesenses/cards? I sent my fingerprints and application three weeks ago and I'm still waiting. I'll post when I receive mine.
  12. I sent mine in on 4/23, but I haven't contacted them to check on the status yet. Hopefully, I'll get mine before the end of the month. Thanks for your reply!
  13. This doesn't speak to the OP, but I don't understand the mandatory HIV testing. Why is the baby taken away after birth if mom refuses HIV testing? What if mom refuses testing for the baby? After I had my babies (not in NY), the hospital had to have MY consent to do any testing, bloodwork, immunizations, etc. I'm the parent, they need my consent. Don't they need Mom's consent to test the baby for HIV, then, too? What difference does it make if baby is HIV neg or pos, as far as breastfeeding is concerned? If baby is neg, that does that mean can then BF? Well, just because baby is neg, doesn't necessarily mean that mom is neg. Sounds like a bunch of money-wasting, unnecessary testing. If there are no risk factors for HIV, why test for it? Anyway, just my two cents (as a mom, not a nurse!)
  14. Nevermind...found this discussed in other threads...thanks!
  15. Hello, everyone! I was wondering how long it took for most of you to get your fingerprint cards back. I know the official time given is 5-8wks, but I wanted to know some "actual" times. Did it really take longer than 5 weeks for anyone, or did you receive yours sooner? Thanks so much!
