Whoop, Whoop, Just got hired, and looking forward to it. tried the online applications, sending resume's by internet and just no replys. Answered an add in the paper and what a difference.
So, I found employment at a nursing home/rehabilitation wing of a hospital. I have a 4-6 week training period, and then after that, I have an RN who makes her rounds 2-3 times a shift to check on things or someone I can call who can be there in an instant if I need her/him.
Sometimes, set backs can turn out to be a valuable thing. since I did not score high enough on my NCLEX the first time and was invited back for a second visit, this oppertunity opened at the right time.
Oh, and just completed my RN prereq's and start the RN program part time this January, W H O O P, W H O O P. Going to be a big party this Christmas.
