First Interview Today :)

I just had to share that I had my first interview today :). It was a two part interview starting with the director of the facility and the HR recruiter and then I met with a panel consisting of the clinical coordinator, staff RN and the education specialist. I felt great walking out and got very good feedback from my responses. No news yet as it was 2 hours ago but I just wanted to share the good news :)

Good luck!!! I have an interview next week. I've never had a panel interview before. What type of questions did they ask? What did the education specialist ask?

They asked about why I chose this field and also nursing. Situations I was a team leader, conflicts with co-workers, a time I changed the way my coworker was doing something, those type of things. I like panels much better because you don't have to focus on one person for 30 minutes.

So I received a phone call today at 5:30pm offering me the job!!!!! :) I am soo excited. This is the funny thing. I received my official NCLEX-RN pass on June 14th and applied to this position on the 16th. On June 21st I received an email stating that I had not been chosen for an interview. On Friday July 15th I got a call to schedule an interview and then today I interviewed and was offered the job. Wow I can't even believe it!!!! I am the 2nd new grad they have hired to this facility and I have 3 weeks to feverishly study up and celebrate before I begin work.

Woohoo I'm employed!

Congrats!!! new grad here having less success, but love reading that some of us are getting jobs. I am remaining optimistic. Best of luck!

Congrats!! You are very lucky!! Some are not as lucky including myself... but i'm not giving up hope. Best of luck to you.
