First assignment offer

Hey everyone...I am looking for some help determining if this is an acceptable offer. I have not signed any contract yet and would like some feedback before I do. The assignment is in San Antonio TX, and also my first travel assigment. I feel like its a little low but my recruiter is telling me this is good for a first assignment. Any help is appreciated!

$18.30/hr

$35 per diem

$500 travel expense

$2000 housing

Thanks!

How does this compare with your offers at other agencies?

That seems relatively low...I make 35$ /hr working PRN at one of the Methodist hospitals. The Pan Traveler calculator shows you would have a gross pay of 30.10$/hr.

We have a traveler with Aya right now who told me his housing stipend is 2500, hourly is 25$. I don't know his per diem.

You may not have entered the numbers correctly. I believe it should be more like $38 an hour. Still low but I'm not surprised considering the agency.

You should definitely be choosing between more than 1-2 offers so you can go with the highest one. This seems low, I would not take it knowing what I know now. I did the same thing for my first contract too. Glad I got going as a traveler but when I got there I realized I was making a good $10 an hour less than other travelers in other companies who had experience.
