Finished my 2 year RN program...

Published

Hey guys. Just wanted to post this for inspiration for anyone who needs this. I came to this site looking for direction after flunking out of a nursing program from years ago. I decided to come back to finish what I started. It was not easy to get a 2nd chance at this but I did, and I got through it. Taking small steps to your goal(s) does help and that's what I did until I got to where I needed to be. I graduated this year despite negative things people have told me either on here or in real life. I'm moving forward from this and I hope other people can too if they have flunked out too. I'd like to end this post by saying that nobody's sad story is wasted. Sometimes your sad story can help others see the light and I hope I've done that even a little bit for you.

Beautifully stated dear friend. I’m the first alternate waiting for my shot at nursing school. If one person drops out this Wednesday, I’ll be called to join the cohort. But the caveat is, I have a 5 month old daughter. So I’d feel sad to leave her. Whatever happens, I’m making peace with. Thank you for sharing your story. I pray God blesses your career.

I’ve been through that and more. I’ve had someone drop out days before classes started and I ended up getting a spot. I’d stay on top of that because people do drop out at the last minute believe it or not. This happened on my 2nd attempt at reapplying for RN school; I thought for sure I’d be taking a semester off.
