Finished Straighterline A&P

So I passed my CPNE on 3/25 and the only thing I had left was a&p 2, since I took a&p 1 at my community college with lab. Since Excelsior doesn't require the lab, I took the a&p without lab option. It took me 4 days to complete and let me tell you it was MUCH harder than I thought it would be. I have a strong backround, because I work in a teaching hospital on a cardiac floor, but even so this kicked my butt! I didn't want to take the excelsior exam because it was way too much info to cover on one test. If you have a pretty strong backround and you did well on your excelsior nursing exams, you should consider this course. I don't recommend doing it in 4 days, but I WANT to take my NCLEX as soon as possible and that was the last thing standing between me and my GN! Any questions please let me know.

MissinMyErica, I don't me to hijack your thread but I need your help. First CONGRATS! Next, I have been email/debating with an advisor that refuses to believe that someone has taken A&P through straighterline for Excelsior. Could you PM me the name of the contact person at Excelsior that gave you approval? I would appreciate it, I still have most of Excelsior theory exams left and like you I only need A&P II and the advisor I am dealing with isn't budging. It would seem they need to get some consistency regarding what they will approve and what they won't.

I am in the second part of Straighterline A&P I and I find it hard and confusing because you have to teach yourself totally. Also, there is no specific material to hone in on -- the tests cover the whole entire chapter!!! OK so far because the tests are, I guess, open book. The saving grace. However, I was just told that the final is proctored --- does that mean no notes at all -- cold turkey??? and how hard was the test? Anyone go through this yet??? Help.

How did you study (what tools did you use)? I just rented their recommended book (Seeley's Anatomy and Physiology 9th edition) from bookrenters.com. Also, how many questions are on the exam? I see that it's 120 mins proctored open book..
