...am DONE! ...AND YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!! My Probation Monitor gave me a gift of 1.5 months off early in OR! I thank you all for your support from the bottom of my heart...

Bitter sweet as CA (where I had an expired license in good standing at the time of the OR DUI charge almost 3 years ago now) came after me and gave me 3 years of more restrictive and more expensive probation. After struggling I voluntarily surrendered there recently. CA also turned me into the National Practitioner Data Base (NPDB), but my employer in OR said it was ok as it was for the same issue they knew about when they hired me.

I must remember that I will have a black mark on my license forever and there will be those states that won't license me or will slap me with probation and employers who won't hire me because I have previous discipline on my record...it stays there forever. I can handle a door slammed in my face or a cold shoulder or a "NO." I am tough.

Now my plan with my unencumbered license in OR is to apply for licensure in HI. We will see what happens...

I will check this site occasionally and will check my private messages.

(((((HUGS))))) and many blessings to you my brave sisters and brothers...Paidmydues

Dear Pchaballa: I'm not the right person to ask. I'm only beginning my journey and I'm yet to start my treatment. Sorry, I wish you good luck, and don't give up.

Hello...I am wondering what has happened to you since your last post? I am trying to sort out how I can enter the HPSP program in OR while working and residing in AZ. I was told I would have to have an agreement with the state of AZ to do the monitoring on OR's behalf. Is that how it works? I am not sure that I can secure employment in OR within their time frame which is just 2.5 weeks away. Any words of wisdom?
