Hello all!
I was in an ADN program at a local community college, and was unable to complete the program due to a stop-out and a math exam which I could not correct to 100%. I had completed 3/4 of the 2 year program. I left the program in April 2010. I went through a long period of depression over this, as I had invested 7 years of my life in this process, with nothing to show for it. I finally went and got a CNA certification, so that I could get some health care experience on my resume.
So, my question is this: Do I go through trying to get into another program? As you know, nursing programs are very impacted, and it could take years to get in. Also, I am now (a very young) 50 years old. I don't want to let my age stop me, but I don't feel I have the luxury of time like someone in their 20's or 30's. I love working in the healthcare field, and would love to get my RN, but find approaching the whole process again daunting.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :):redpinkhe
