Fingerprinting in Raleigh

So I am finally getting around to transfering my license from Va. I received my background check packet in the mail today and I have no idea where to go to get finger printed. Where did anyone go to gett it done?

Its been a couple of years since I did mine. I went to the police station and they did it for me and were real nice. I went to the one near school and they were used to nursing students going there for that. You might want to call first to make sure they do it and that there is no charge. I remember one wanted to charge and the other was free and only did it on certain days. The one I went to didn't use ink. They had a machine that did it. Hope that helps!

Thanks- I called the info line for RPD today and was on hold waiting for a human for 10 minutes- I gave up. I used to know where all the local stations were at home. Here I see all the cruisers but no stations:)

If I remember right I went to the police station in Henderson, NC. Its a short drive up Capital/US1 from Raleigh but may be worth the drive.

Hope you have better success at getting prints than I did. My prints don't show up, and the police officer grumbled the whole time about how nurses are the hardest people to get good prints from because of our use of alcohol based hand cleaner (I rarely use the stuff, preferring soap/water instead) and frequent handwashing.

Thanks- I went today to get it done. I was nervous for some stupid reason. The packet is in the mail- hope I remembered to fill in everything.
