Thanks for the response LaeDeesNP!!!! I suppose I should have stated that the packet was more like information on loans, scholarships, etc addressed to prospective nursing sudents. I thought I read on here a while back that that was a good sign and only sent to accepted students. However, their website says it is sent to all applicants on 1/15. Anyone have any insight??? Desperately waiting for my acceptance letter! :-(
It is hard to say. Each University has a different business practice.
My office sends Round I of the financial aid application process to all applicants on February 1 (reminds them to do FAFSA, includes University FA forms). Round 2 is the Teaching Assistant application, and that is sent to all doctoral applicants in April.
I send the scholarship application to students after they accept the offer of admissions.
I did my fafsa and my EFC is high too. I think that loans won't be a huge problem One of my friends just started CRNA school this past fall and her husband is a surgeon. They make a ton more money than I do and she still got loans. I think I might also look into some scholarships too but I want to wait to see if I get accepted. I wonder if they will e-mail us when they start sending out decision letters?

Should I take it as a good sign that I recieved the financial aid packet, or is it standard protocol that all applicants recieve one? Thanks in advance!!!!
