He pressed the emergency button on the same pad where the on call button is. Just to get the nurse to come in the room. He asked her where the chart for the patient was since it was suppose to be hanging over the bed. That way a crippled doctor wouldn't have to look for it. She gave him the chart and then he asked for some peppermint tea. The nurse rolled her eyes on the way out the room.
You and my wife. I dont get it. You work in the medical field. Havent you had enough of it by the time you get home. Why do medical people watch E.R. and House? Work some overtime, see the real thing and get paid for it to boot.I remember a thread in here about how damaging TV shows are to the nursing profession. It went on and on about how "ideal" it made our work environment look and how it never showed the true details of working as a nurse. I chuckled at that whole thread because I know how many seasoned vet. nurses watch it.
How did you know that I was an E.R. freak too?!?!?!?
That show is awesome! I get a bit riled when I have to work the same night its on so I then have to end up searching the net to watch catchup!
But I've seen a few nurses on the show over the time it's been playing - I've been watching it from day one! But yeah all the nurses they've had so far have been slaves for them or just eye candy.
Maybe if enough of us spent screeds of emails to the writers and producers they'd throw in a usual nurse character!
Haha. Its still awesome though!

I too love the show in addition to ER, Scrubs, and Greys Anatomy (not as much into this one as the others, though). I was impressed to see an emergency button on the call-light! Just think if all the patients knew about it, and how much more problems we would actually be facing... Anyone catch Scrubs last night? I loved it!
