Finally got some interviews

U.S.A. Kentucky

After applying everywhere I could think of and that I qualified for I got a glut of interviews. Let me take you back to last week. Tuesday I get a phone call for a position on Ft. Knox's Warrior Transition Unit, I was unable to get a hold of the lady until Wed but set up the interview for Friday Aug 29th. Thursday morning I get a phone call from St. Joseph's in Lexington and set an interview there for Monday afternoon, Aug 25th (had that one today btw) That same day, I get a phone call from Norton Suburban wanting to set up an interview on NICU (which is the unit I'd love to work on). That interview was set up for Friday Aug 22nd.:yeah:

Today I went to Lexington for the interveiw at St. Joe's and its the HR interview, so I don't know if I'll get a call back for an interview with a Manager. While in Lexington I got a phone call from the Nurse Recruiter from Nortons saying the manager wanted her to call me. I called back and left a message, so I should hear back tomorrow. Good thing? I hope so. After months of applying, and re-re-re-applying I may actually be getting a job on the unit I REALLY want to work on...NICU. I'm trying very hard to not get my hopes up to high, but its a good thing when the manager wants the nurse recruiter to call you back right?:) The interview for NICU went very well IMO. I presented myself well, I think and showed that I had read up some on NICU to show I REALLY was interested.

I feel like I did prior to graduation, all butterflies :D

Of course studying for the NCLEX is causing some of the flutterbies as well LOL.

I'll keep you posted on how things go.

Oh- that's right. You'll probably have PALS instead of ACLS...duh.

I don't even know if I'll get PALS LOL. I do know I'll get NRP since thats what is used on NICU's.

It is going to be interesting to see the classes I will be taking.

LOL Girl, it's been a wild weekend over here. Sorry about my confusion. I have been doing that a lot lately! :chuckle

Tis OK, LOL. Last week I had a hard time studying due to the excitement of actually being hired somewhere.

I'm still thinking of pushing back my NCLEX test date due to the fact that its right in the middle of new job orientation. Since I have until Nov 5th to take, I'm thinking of pushing it to the end of October to get the Kaplan class in, and at least a little of orientation in before taking it.

I'm scared actually, what IF I do badly....I'll lose the job I've worked hard to get. I'm really trying not to focus to much on that possibility, even though its there. I'm trying to do as many test questions as I can, then reading the rationales to the ones I've missed AND the ones I got right.
