I waitlisted in June 2007.
I can't wait to see whoelse will be in my class. Good luck everyone.
I was told I would get in this coming fall (2008), so I took my time with A & P. Well, wouldn't ya know, I got the letter the day after summer classes started, so I scrambled to get into 233 & I took 234 with the nursing classes. I was very suprised & excited to get in a year earlier. I think I was in the last batch of letters. The letter came end of June (26th?), so you still have time. :)

That was exactly my fear and why I have scheduled A&P II for spring and Sociology for summer. Then I'm ALL done!!!! I figure if I don't get a letter for fall, then I'll either take classes towards my Bachelors or relax:bugeyes:
I received my acceptance letter about mid-June the year I was accepted, RN2B73. You have a long way to go before giving up hope on Winter '09. Think positively.
If you are looking for something to do, then go ahead and take that BSN class. I'm done now, and looking at going for my BSN, and I sure wish I had more BSN credits under my belt than I do. I dread the thought of starting all over again.
Remember to keep that grade point up!

Thanks so much for being encourageing:redpinkhe. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Anyone happen to know how many credits can be transferred from a CC to a University. My first two years at HFCC were pre engineering and I am hopeing some of them will transfer to my Bachelors.
I hear you Tonyal! Wayne's program only starts every fall too so if chem II and micro aren't done before this fall that's not an option either:(
That's not true :nuke:
While you have to apply by march 31 to the program you have until June 1 to submit proof of completing all prereq courses. That means you have this summer, fall, and WINTER to take that chem class and that micro class in order to apply to Wayne for fall 2009. Although now they give preference to students who complete all courses or their science courses at Wayne, there are still several students who do all their prereqs at community colleges (but granted you probably need a more competitive GPA)
Hope that helps keep your options only. It can't hurt to take more classes-- and even if you don't go directly into the BSN program at Wayne if you decide to get your associates you already have them out of the way if you ever want to do RN to BSN.
Good luck!

I was referring to getting in for fall 08, so that wouldn't be an option now right? I will definitely be called for the HFCC prgram by next fall but since all my classes have been completed and I was recently laid off, I was hoping to get into a program sooner. Do you know how many credits wayne state lets you transfer over?
Oh whoops sorry I guess I read it wrong. That's what I get for skimming....
Wayne will let you transfer up to 60 credits from a community college I believe and unlimited credits from 4 year institutions. Hope that helps -- just be sure that they'll be the right classes before you expend the time, money, and effort to take them. You can check on wayne's website-- transfercredit.wayne.edu --enter the school you attended and they will tell you the wayne course equivalent if any for your courses. You can also look at the transfer plans for specific community colleges that list which courses fulfill the gen ed requirements.

Hi Veruka,
So basically you went on the list exactly when Tonyal and I did, just a year prior! When did they tell you to expect to start? I would love to get my letter in June like you did! I guess I just got my hopes up because so many people kept telling me that they all got in sooner than they were told they would:clown:
