Anybody have experience with film/set nursing? Any tips on on how to find these positions? Thanks :)

No advice o how to get that job but the set I used to work on had a great medic! I don't think he was an actual nurse though... The industry likes to cut costs so they probably wouldn't pay a nurse what they deserve and therefor hire less qualified individuals for less money... Good luck though! Keep us updated!

Studios and production companies usually have EMTs on sets, and union-sponsored offsite clinics for employees. I live in L.A., most of my friends are in the industry and I've never heard of any nurse on a set or at a company. If there was such a thing I'm sure it would be a position filled by a 3rd party contractor.

Same in Nashville; EMTs, or Paramedics, if it's a "Major Production". You could always try to increase the standard of care, though! Anyone who's seen the way productions like to pump money through knows they'd probably bite if presented with the right angle!

There are also nurses who provide consulting for productions. I had a fellow nursing student that did it for a TV show in LA (where I went to school) as well as provided voice overs for those ubiquitous announcements in hospital hallway sets ("Dr. Green, please call the ER"). You need someone with medical knowledge to keep medical scenes semi-realistic.
