:monkeydance:just to add on...not only clinical skills is very important here in US, Critical Thinking and Judgement is realy a big thing in everday job as a nurse here in US, I know it takes months or years of experience to have this, but the training in the Philippines as Student which as statistics shows making the training worst and even as a Nurse after graduation doesn't make any difference to make a Philippine graduate to be competent in facing the real world of US nursing jobs. thats why if you will going to look at the NCLEX trends nowadays, most questions are based in critical thinking and prioritization which is really needed in everyday tasks of a nurse where ever area of field he is working, you'll not learn this skills if you'll not handle patient by yourself and do critical thinking and judge what needs to be done to improve the patient condition and be a nurse advocate always!

That still has nothing to do with what their clinical skills are like. That is what my point it. Do not think that it would make much of a difference. There are already issues with people getting false documentation to submit so that they can even sit for the NLE. The issue becomes that they cannot mask their actual physical skills that are needed. And that is what needs to be tested.
That will be the best weeding out tool. If they are unable to pass an exam like that, then maybe they will pay some attention to where they are attending school. Not sure how anyone believes that they are truly learning anything from many of these programs. There are still only the same handful that has the best reputation there. Wonder why the government is allowing what is going on in the first place?
