fiance--passed CA nclex-no ssn- going to texas

Published

Hi everyone! Im just wondering if anyone has gone through the same situation like mine.

Here are my infos:

Passed Nclex last 2008 under CA BON:yeah:

No SSN

Applied for CES in CGFNS last 2008:up:

with Fiance Visa, going to Texas this feb 2009 and be with my lovey dovey:redbeathe

As from what I have understood in some of my readings from the other threads here,

1. I will go to immigration processes for my aos, ssn, etc.etc.

2. I can work as long as I have SSN and has the employment authorization document.

3. I will comply to Texas BNE eligibility.

4. I will apply to Texas bne for LICENSURE BY EXAMINATION and ask Ca BON to FORWARD my nclex result.

Is this correct?

Is there any other way than in nos. 3 & 4? ie. Apply to CA license and apply reciprocity to TEXAS? Which is better?

Thanks in advance!

hello everyone, i just came here in CA 2 weeks ago with a K1(Fiance Visa).

Last yr. i took the nclex-rn and fortunately received a letter from BON that i have passed the nclex-rn and requiring an SSN. Now im here in the U.S and i just applied for SSN yesterday and i'll wait for 2 weeks before i'll received my SSN Card.

My questions is,If my SS No. arrives do i need to just fill-up the letter from BON that requires my SSN and mailed it back to them?

and what would be the next step, what about Adjustment of status(be getting married 2 weeks from now)

Hope someone can share if they have similar situations and experiences.thanks for great help.
