My California License was revoked after I went on what I call my 18 month drunken crime spree. In the end I acquired two DUI's (one the board doesn't know about YET), a misdemeanor vandalism and a felony Assault due to domestic violence. This is not my normal behavior. I have since been diagnosed with BI-polar depression and believe that mixed with alcohol and benzodiazapines I was a mess and lucky that nothing worse happened.
I have since quit drinking and am being managed by a psychiatrist. I attend AA meetings and am going to the local Diversion meetings (AA/group therapy for nurses). My question is obvious... Can I ever work as a nurse again. I loved being an RN. I was considered by my coworkers to be "Most Patent".
