I've been approached to be a RN Continuing Education Coordinator for a very small business that offers classes to lay people--this person needs a RN to sign the paperwork so that nurses can get CEU's from the class too. There had been an RN doing this previously, so I think all the basics are done, but I'll find out soon. Anyone done this before? What do I charge? Paperwork must be filed with the nursing board each year (along with a fee of $35). Should I be charging for filling out the paperwork? Then for each nurse-student that gets a certificate? I will not be involved in the classes at all and have no idea how many students there will be each year. Any advice would be appreciated... Have a great day.

How awesome! So you are basically being asked to do consulting work for them, I gather. You won't be on their pay roll. Maybe you can research nurse consultant fees. I think you can pretty much name your price, within the scope of your experience, etc. Good Luck!!
