Feeling like I wasted a bunch of money on a phlebotomy course

I've been taking a phlebotomy class for the pass two months, tomorrow is the last day and I still don't feel comfortable using the needle, our teacher waited on the last two weeks to start teaching us how to use the needles, we need 30 sticks to take our exam to get certified. I wanted to take this job so I can make money for nursing school (currently taking prerequisites) , I feel so defeated and depressed right now and just broken . Our teacher didn't let us practice on the dummy hands , she just had us practice on each other. My dad was yelling at me for wasting money and I just feel awful and depressed I don't know what to do.

Update, I ended up getting the necessary sticks, they also said I can come back and get more sticks and training. Apparently I was given the wrong information so I will be able to get the necessary shots.

Don't be depressed...learning and training is NEVER a waste! Be proud of your accomplishments, no matter what they are. I took phlebotomy as well...paid 550 for it...and am currently working on my CNA certification...taking prerequisites as well..for practical nursing....either way every class/training helps and will help you be a better whatever in the future...I've found out landing a job as a phlebotomist is difficult...but not impossible...from what ive heard drug screening places are more likely to train entry level positions ...but sign up to volunteer at blood banks...red cross maybe? Go to an employement agency...don't give up...volunteering will help you get the experience you need to better your chances of finding a job
