I'm trying SO hard reading notes I take in lecture, doing NCLEX questions and still seem to can't pass my exams I do a great job Performing skills (kinesthetic learner) my instructor always tell me I perform my skills perfect but when it comes to lectures I just can't seem to stay focused any advice? I desperately want this I'm only 22 years old I feel that this is my calling I've been in the healthcare field for 2 years now working as a CNA please please give advice and help on what it is I can do to get better grades on my exams

Thank you

Are you reading the actual book? A lot of nursing questions focus on the big picture. If you're studying fragments, you're more likely to miss it.

I'm anti-note taking. I might write down two or three things during a class, but that's it. I think some people write so ferociously that they're not actually paying attention to (and absorbing) what's being said.

In short, my strategy was always to read the book and listen in class. I admit to not being straight A student, but I usually managed to land on my feet.

Are you able to record the lectures with your phone or another portable device? That way you can go back and listen to the recording if you struggle while you're studying. I know most schools want phones off or away during class, so you may want to discuss this with your professors first.
